In 1998, the Porto da Ilha Hotel opened in Florianópolis, and the city gained a welcoming atmosphere with the mission of serving everyone, seeking to exceed their expectations. A family business, dreamed of and planned by its owners, who actively participated in the construction of the enterprise and who are still in charge of the day-to-day management of the hotel.
At the time, Florianópolis lacked a product like the Porto da Ilha Hotel; therefore, the project was designed to offer a modern, practical, distinctive hotel facility, well located in the center of Florianópolis, which could meet the needs of a demanding public who deserved a quality service that would match the beauty of our city. The Porto da Ilha Hotel began its activities with 60 rooms and a breakfast service.
Since the beginning, concern for guest well-being has been present in our values, and so the Hotel has been modified according to the experiences and feedback received, combined with the market knowledge that the owners, in partnership with employees, have acquired over time. We ask for feedback from our guests during their stay with us, and all reviews and comments are read and responded to. We consider each comment in a constant effort to make our services even better! For us, each guest is important, and we greatly value their opinions!
Over the years of operation, our passion for serving and exceeding our guests' expectations grew, and in 2001, the Porto da Ilha Restaurant opened, an executive buffet for lunch from Monday to Friday, open to the public. As a result, the Porto da Ilha Hotel managed to become known in the city also by its residents, who consider the hotel a reference for lunch. As a result of the restaurant opening for lunch, our team grew, and today our F&B is an essential part of our operation, working 24 hours a day to ensure everything is always fresh for serving!
As we always want to offer the best, in 2008 we began a process of modernization and expansion of the hotel, offering 80 cozy and comfortable apartments, with comfortable and updated furniture, new equipment, renewed acoustics, cozy decoration and new layout in the apartments. At the same time, we also modernized our reception and restaurant and managed to make our guests feel even better when staying with us.
Updates have been ongoing since then, seeking to offer our guests a quality product, preserving the beginnings and values of the history of Porto da Ilha Hotel, a modern, practical and distinctive hotel facility in the best location in the center of Florianópolis, which exists to serve and is always open!
